Today, I went out to my car so I could go to the bookstore only to find that the sprinklers were spraying the driver’s side door. I got in on the passenger’s side and climbed over the center console like a ninja.
Apparently, I have a subconscious method for putting my pants on: right leg first. I learned this the other day when I tried to put my pants on left leg first and completely fell over.
I worry all the time that I won’t make any friends in Spain. Will you still be my friend while I’m there?
I’ve been reading a lot this summer and enjoying it immensely. I unplugged the TV in my room. I still watch the occasional show with my family, but I love just sitting in my room with a cup of tea and a book. My current recommend: After the Kiss by Terra Elan McVoy. I’m finishing the Mortal Instruments series currently, and then next up on my list is The Picture of Dorian Gray and the rest of the His Dark Materials series.
I’m really diggin’ on the Eclipse soundtrack right now. Yeah, I said it.
My sister leaves Colorado tomorrow and I am not ok with it. Well, I’m a little ok with it because she’s going home to some very good things. I just wish she’d leave her dogs behind to console me.
Ironically, after I worked so hard to avoid the sprinklers, I just gladly went and stood out in the rain with the dogs. I love rain.
(I could’ve lived, however, without the mosquito bites.)

You'll make friends in Spain. There isn't any doubt in my mind that you will.. I mean, come on. You're pretty much the nicest person ever.
I've been obsessed with reading and watching Disney movies lately! It's great.
I'm interested to hear how you like the Dorian Gray book.
I'm kind of in a book rut - everything I'm reading doesn't interest me enough to finish it.
You're going to make lots of friends in Spain, Kate :)
Ad hopefully, lots of gorgeous tall Spanish men too!
I will most def be your friend while you are in Spain!! You are going to be just fine I'm sure :)
I will have to look into After the Kiss, my list of books to read is forever growing!
I for real just got out of bed and tested that pants thing.
You will make loads of friends in Spain but we are always here for you!
