In college, bestie Tina and I used to like to sort our friends into their Hogwarts Houses. Ali would surely be a Ravenclaw, while Stephanie is a Slytherin. Something that has always driven both of us crazy, though, is the propensity for people to claim they are Gryffindors when, in fact, they are totally totally not. Guys, I know Harry, Hermione and Ron are cool. Heck, I would love to hang out with Neville. But we can't all be Gryffindors by sheer force of desire.
I remember the days of early fansite sorting quizzes. "Which animal is your favorite?" "A: Lion; B. Raven; C. Badger; D. Snake" Hm, thats a tough one to crack. Sure, we can all manipulate answers to become Gryffindors, but I wish people would just face what they really are and show some House pride!

P.S.: I beg you to keep in mind that Slytherin does NOT = evil. My friend who I say is a Slytherin is really well connected, ambitious and often intimidating to those who don't know her. But, of course, she's not evil...
EDIT: I've recently been told by several friends that they actually see me as a Ravenclaw. I am intrigued! I never fancied myself smart enough for Ravenclaw. What do you think I'd be?

I just discussed this with Christina last weekend. We debated if I would be Ravenclaw or Slytherin. We both quickly agreed I was Slytherin. All the way!
We also decided Christina would be Hufflepuff.
Gosh, I totally remember those quizzes! I'd either be Gryffindor or Ravenclaw. And I don't say Gryffindor because I want to be cool, but I'm pretty daggum courageous when I need to be. But then I could definitely fit in with Ravenclaw. I'd be happy with any house, just as long as I got my acceptance letter :)

Despite your very valid complaint about everybody and their brother thinking they're a Gryffindor, that's totes my House. And I defy anyone to say otherwise! RAWR

We tried sorting people at work and a lot of people said that I seemed like a Ravenclaw. Seeing as we often are the person, I'm guessing we both exist in a RavenclawHufflepuffish world. But I do think you're a Hufflepuff/badger.

I used to be embarrassed to admit i, but I am a Hufflepuff through and through. Loyal and hardworking at definitely my strengths.
