I'm over here today helping out with Lauren's Countdown to Hunger Games.
I have loved this book series since 2009 and I think I've been dreaming about the movie for almost as long. I am genuinely excited for the adaptation and I truly believe in the cast--I think Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson will do outstanding jobs as my Katniss and Peeta.
Anyway, I tend to hear music and imagine how well it'd fit a scene in a book (I used to do this with Harry Potter all the time too.) I made Lauren a Hunger Games mix tape when I visited her last year and I was so happy that she loved it and wanted me to make a new one. I can't wait for the cave scene and the one with Rue =( I hope the end of the Games are not so violent as I imagined them in my head!!

I LOVED your playlist! I have such a hard time assigning songs to books so I'm always happy when other people find songs. Your playlist is all kinds of fantastic.
I can't believe it's been more than two years since I started the books... And that it's less then 99 days until the movie comes out!
I hope they keep the train scene in the end, where Peeta take Katniss' hand, "one more time for the cameras". My heaaaaaart.
Kate, I commented on Lauren's blog but wanted to make sure you know: I love the playlist! I love the epic, sweeping, deep sounds. I don't know much about any actor so I'm glad to hear you believe in the cast. It's going to be so different than reading of course.

I'm ashamed... my husband bought me the series of books back in 2010 for our anniversary. I still haven't even finished the first! Now that the movie is coming out (and I got a snuggie with a booklight for Christmas) I'll be reading a lot more! haha.
