{Waste of} Time Machine

Yesterday while at a Café with my friend we got sidetracked from working and ended up looking at old pictures on both of our laptops.

I don’t expect that anyone will have much interest in all of these photos but I was feeling super nostalgic and decided I wanted to do a “remember when” High School post.

Some of these are blurry because they had to be scanned from real prints. I know, old school.

Remember when I got every Harry Potter book from 4 up at Midnight? And I always made dorky apparel to wear? You can't tell but my canvas bag has also been painted by moi in a Harry Potter theme, my hair ribbons are scarlet for Gryffindor, and my nails were painted alternately scarlet and gold.

Remember when I let my friend "highlight" my hair and it turned blondeish? I cried all night in the bathroom and then my sister picked me up first thing in the morning and took me to Walgreen's for hair dye. So then it was this light brown/reddish color for a while. Still not good but better than blonde.

Remember when I got to meet my internet best friend while visiting colleges in Michigan? And our best friendship was solidified because we got along just as well as we did via the phone/internet?

Remember when sister and I got to meet all the stars of the touring cast of Wicked in 2005 including the phenomenal Ms. Stephanie J. Block!?

Remember when my friends and I would dress up and go places for no particular reason? Like downtown to eat? Or...

...to the Melting Pot?

Remember when my life was theater? I went to thespian convention...

...and had lots of ridiculous inside jokes with these people...

Remember when my puppy and I looked like this several times daily because she was my sister and best friend? {R.I.P.}

Remember the last day of High School?

...and Senior awards? I picked this picture because we all have ridiculous looks on our faces, like "why is our theatre teacher being creepy while we pose with him?"
Remember when we ate ALL the time, like right after we graduated?

It's crazy to think I'm about to do this again:

...Only this time I have no idea what's coming next. Which is both exciting and terrifying.

I love this post- because it makes me remember all the things I've done, and all the things I want to do, too! (Such as the dressing up and eating- such a cute idea)I love the reminiscing. And the last part "Only this time I have no idea what's coming next. Which is both exciting and terrifying." I'm right there, too.

Exciting AND terrifying, yes.
It can be difficult navigating the post-college graduation decisions/emotions. I think embracing it really helps (atleast it has with me :))

I'm so happy for you, Katie. It's such a wonderful accomplishment. Congratulation, my dear!!!

This may be one of my favorite posts of yours. I love seeing pictures from your past! And I love your dorky HP stuff. I was the same way.

Ok let's face it...I am STILL a dork.

I love old pictures! And I love that I have a similar blonde hair in french braids horror story too (except you look cute in your picture, my hair was orange)

I've been thinking about doing a HS post for a while and have never sat down to do it. You have inspired me to make it happen:)

Good times! Whenever I get my hair dyed it never turns out the way I want or imagine. And then I feel like crying too haha O well :p

Ahhh I loved this. You actually made me miss high school! I tried to highlight my hair once, it turned blonde. It was so bad I didn't go to school the next day. It was a traumatic experience!

Your future is ahead of you! Be excited!! <3
