Do you remember that day when I was really happy? Understandably, you probably don’t. But I do. I was beside myself with happiness. I was positively euphoric, skipping around the house and breaking into giggle fits like a fool.
On that day, August 11, I found out some thrilling news I had been expecting for a while.

Haha, yep I’d been expecting the news. That’s funny you see because my sister is…expecting!!
My sister is my best friend. Being happy for my sister isn’t just the act of congratulating her and telling her “I’m happy for you”, it is to actually feel it deep deep down. When Jen called me to tell me the good news on August 11th, I felt like I was going to burst apart from joy. And then I found out I had to wait until October to tell anybody else. I am no less excited to tell you about my happy news today than I was in August. On the contrary, my excitement to meet my little niece or nephew has only grown (just as the little baby itself is growing!). I am beyond sad that I will still be in Spain when the baby is born, but you can bet your bottom dollar (that tomorrow there’ll be suuuuuun!) that I’ll be heading straight to Arizona to meet my little sobrino/sobrina (niece/nephew) as soon as I’m back in the States.
Congratulations again and to infinity, Jen & Chris!
