Yesterday was the day that I baked a Chocolate Cake in a Crockpot for my dearest Dad. Thanks to cjane for the recipe!
Yesterday was a day when the skies stayed grey the whole day and sometimes it rained and I loved every minute of it. I used the opportunity to light candles…
And cozy up on my front porch to read…
Today is a day that I have a flip flop tan. And no other tan, because I believe in being pasty and cancer-free over leathery and sick.
Today is a day that I wore my sun hat and frolicked around Hudson Gardens with a best friend. Both things made my soul feel light and my face smile.
Today is a day that I remembered my love for Monet’s Water Lilies.
Today is a day that I hid in fields of flowers. Can you find Waldo me?
Today is a day that I decided that this would be a beautiful place to be married. Or perhaps engaged?
This idea is secretly preposterous, because although I absolutely love the idea of a small wedding, I know too many people. Who would I cut? This is without even considering my yet-to-be-met future husband.
Tomorrow is a day when I will promise to do my PT exercises 3 times like I’m supposed to…because usually I get lazy and only do them twice.
Do you know, I can basically never spell “exercise” correctly? I don’t think I’ve ever gotten it right the first try. Oh, and Fun Katie Fact: I’m an English Major. One who can’t spell. Yep. Oh well?
Tomorrow is a day when I will meet a good friend for ice cream and friendly gossip.
Tomorrow is a day when I will check my blog and those I follow too many times before I decide that enough is enough. My activities may be restricted, but it’s time that I get away from the computer and back to reading and the beautiful outside…or at least the outside of my room. Which means that….
Tomorrow is the day that I will go to the bookstore (Tattered Cover, if you please) to browse the shelves and write in the Café.
My yesterdays, todays and tomorrows are beautiful.
Also, I really appreciate all the wonderful suggestions on my last post. I am happily populating a summer playlist! I love comments and corresponding with everyone, so please see my responses here if you feel like it. : )

I loved this post. What a great idea, the whole Yesterday-Today motif. Awesomeness.
I want that chocolate cake. Like now. Any left???
Those are some seriously beautiful gardens. I would love to be married in a place like that. While I'm religious and think I'll probably wind up getting married in church, there's something to be said for being married in God's great green chapel. :)
And I forgive you for liking dogs over cats. ;)
I'm going to come out your way and steal your hat, so when it goes missing, just know it's being taken care of in Georgia.
I know exactly what you mean about small weddings. I blame sorority life because there's like a billion of us. haha
I went to the book store yesterday and was there for TWO HOURS! I love bookstores. I mainly love reading though. haha
And when it comes to tanning, I am a red head, I know all about the beauty of pale skin like no one else does. So I totally understand
Oh I thought of more music for ya.. Jack Johnson! I love him!!!
Also I love this post. Yesterday, today and tomorrow, very cool!
And you may not be able to spell but you can rhyme!!.. spell and well.. BTW- I can't speel either... I'm pretty sure that rhyme is wrong..
Happy days to you! Hope your recovery speeds along!
Your peonies are gorgeous.
I say "grey." It sounds more British and frou-frou that way. And I love British and frou-frou.
And "Across the Universe" is one of my favorite songs ever.
I had no idea you could bake a cake in a Crockpot! I love grey skies and rain...they're a novelty where I live! And I love saying GREY...so much prettier than gray! lovely post! :)
Katie, we so should get together during the school year! I mean, you'll be RIGHT THERE (points to what she believes is north of her)! Plus I mean, I will have your hat and how can you live without that? My friend Kayla drove up to TN and came back the next day, so its really not that bad of a drive (my elementary school went up there for a field trip and came back the same day)
I know what you mean, I tell James that the furthest back I'd be willing to in time is the 1920s so that I could still vote. But I love 50s clothing (the apron I'm making is from an old McCalls pattern from the late 50s).
Your comment about spelling made me laugh. I feel the same way with things. I feel stupid when I spell something wrong. I promise I'm a college graduate :)
I have trouble spelling necessary...I hope I spelled that right!
This was a beautiful post by the way
